i'm in the process of installing these lights, but I can't manage to take apart the dome light assembly. I removed the sunvisors, the A-pillar plastics, and the entire upper-windshield plastic except the dome light part. How is this attached?

Instead, I tried splicing into the brown/black and red/white wires down the passenger A-pillar, but that keeps the footwell lights on constantly.

please help! :-)
