Take the lens out by inserting a small screwdriver in the openuing between the lens and the windshield trim and pushuing gently downward. Next note that there are four tabs the engage the well in the header -- this is tricky -- depress all four (actually get twe on one side depressed at rock the light out slightly to prevent them from re-engaging - then go after the ones on the other side.

The brown wire is a ground. The light operates by haviong the 12V wire supply power continuously and then grounding through a grond switch in the door. I believe this wire for the door contact is black.
