Thanks for the response and the input. I think that with all the convoys to HC there would be more of us in the fold. I was concerned that with all the DSC and fly by wire throttle that there may be a problem. Yeah, I have been lazy in upgrading but novice was fine for the DCS and Burbank emergency work I have done. Funny how work and responsibility keep one from their hobbies. I even forgot to renew for a year. All the rules have changed and it is now easier than ever to get licensed. Talkabouts have very little to offer considering that after 30 questions one can now be a HAM with real radios offering worldwide communications cheaply. If only more of us would apply ourselves, this could be the way to go for all convoys and Z3 runs.73,

I don't have any problem with 50 watts VHF,UHF
or 100 Watts on 40 meters. Noise cancelling
David Clark headset/mike for all operations with
the top down. Don't go mobile much, but have.
Watch the rigs and the heat sinks heating up on
the leather seats!!! keep em on the floor.
I just renewed my Novice license. (Yeah, I should upgrade now that it's so easy) I was wondering if anybody has installed any gear in their Z3. If so, what type, and did you encounter any problems with the electronics?
