but considering 40+ hours of driving to HC I like to keep some options open. Even if that means drilling a couple of holes. Talkabouts are atrocious when it comes to intelligetability and considering that we now enjoy nationwide repeaters, I would think that it behooves all concerned to take a 30 question test in the name of safety and clarity in communications. I'm sure you can you imagine the fun in talking to those across the nation while making the pilgramage to Spartanburg. Thanks for the response to the post, I'm sure that there are others who were unaware of the multidimensional nature of those on the board. I envy the work and commitment put forth by you to get to extra class.73s

Hi Jeff,
I'm a ham but haven't put any gear in my Z3 and probably never will! IMHO, chatting on the radio (or cel phone) takes away from the pleasure of driving the Z!
