inside the stem is a valve that screws in/out...if it's loose..it would leak...needs a special tool(some air guages have one attached)to adjust...absent that you may have a dirty valve(that's why it's important to have valve caps)...the valves are inexpensive..available at Napa/Kragens/Pep-Boys, etc...if the actual stem is leaking...someone might have stepped on it or pulled on it or failed to clean the area during install(sloppy!)...requires dismount/remount of tire to replace stem....my '97 with Mich's holds air perfectly at all four corners...good luck!..dk '97 2.8 bg(non-hissing Z)
Purchased my '98 1.9 in March and the first week driver's side rear tire had a slow leak and bad valve stem (Michelin Pilots). Today about 10 minutes after I parked the car air started streaming out of the passenger front stem. I am ultra careful with the tires/rims--no scratches. Anyone else have this problem?...should I expect more of the same with the other two? Suggestions? Enjoy MB--1st time post. Thanks!
