limiter in each gear. In the case of my M Roadster it raises the rev limit by 200 rpm in each gear. To prevent yourself from hitting that rev limiter while accelerating hard during a driving envent such as at an AutoX, drag racing or track event requires practice, practice practice. After you've gotten enough events under your belt to be able to control the adrenaline you will learn to guage the coming shift point by sound and feel. I've only been doing track events and drag racing for the past year and a half and still find myself hitting the rev limiter on occasion when I get a little to wrapped up in what I'm doing and fail to shift when I know I should. I do think it comes with practice and learning to be calm and smooth in your actions.
