It sure looks wider to me. The specs on the BMW web site list them the same. The rear quarters are completely different and the wheels are 1" wider each, even though the tires are the same size as my 3.0i Roadster. Anybody know for sure?

The rear wheels and tires are wider, but the rear end (axels) is narrower. That's why you can't put M rear wheels on a regular Z3. The Z3 doesn't have the narrower rear end to account to the small offset on the M rear wheels.
