No it is not wider. The difference is because the Z3 rear end was restyled in 2000. They added rear wheel bulges in the back and restyled the trunk and tail lights. If you look side by side with the M roadster you will see the difference. The restyled Z3 does look more aggressive and balanced. The rear end is now higher and more balaced with the long front end. Do not know when they will update the M .



It sure looks wider to me. The specs on the BMW web site list them the same. The rear quarters are completely different and the wheels are 1" wider each, even though the tires are the same size as my 3.0i Roadster. Anybody know for sure?
