Hey again,
Well theres some kinda void inside me. I almost made the mistake of trying to fill it with a new car. Test drove a ws6 t/a....god, thats some kinda power but the idea of doubling my car payment kept me from it. Looked at Cobras and used vettes but again big rushes cost big bucks. ended back at BMW and was just let down by what they were asking for for used 2.8s which had obvious signs of extreme wear. My 1.9 is honestly in damn nice shape compared to what Ive seem out there. Then I got real smart, all Im looking for "mostly" is more speed. We all know the 1.9 Z has the "looks". yeah, some speed and suspension mods would be realitivle cheep and could do it at my leasure. So Im gonna keep it, tweek it, and better yet, keep $$ in the bank. Thanks for allthe mod tips you folks have thrown my way. Any other suggestions to the improvement process from 1.9 owners is appreciated. Well, Im off to fogg the aircanBig-C
I've owned Corvettes and T/As both. If you are going to put money in your 1.9 to go for performance I think it's a waste of time and money. I owned two 96 1.9 Z3s both were fun cars and eye catchers but forget performance. I got outrun by mini vans. 150hp just isn't a major threat to many cars It's a classy looking car, just drive it and enjoy the way it handles.
Best $ value for speed is a used Z28 or 5.0 mustang.
