This is just another example of the misinformation highway. My experience with the likes of Edmunds and Consumer Reports has been that the testers rarely know how to evaluate and drive performance cars! What is the hang-up with 0-60? The 1.9 is not a stop light dragster but it can be driven very quickly. Almost anbody can drive a fast car but a good driver can drive any car quickly.

First off if mini-vans outran you you had serious issues with your cars.

Second, there is far more to performance then just acceleration.

Third I totally agree if someone is looking for a drag car the 1.9l is not a good choice. IMO that holds true for any BMW actually.
