charge up battery and disconnect it(be sure to have radio code)or arrange to trickle charge/periodic charge it(once a week, if using alarm)fill up gas tank with fresh hi-test, wash and wax entire car;if possible locate 1/4" rubber pads(or 1/2" carpet) under all four tires...helps to avoid flat-spotting;cover to protect based on location:in a garage, flannel or cotton for dust protection(clean sheets will do)..outside: premium 4-layer with el-cheapo over it(two!)...should be good for up to 6 months...weather pre-vailing...dk '97 2.8 bg

Put the tires at 50 pounds each. Also, each BMW comes into this country with a kill switch on the battery. For some strange reason, they remove them. But your dealer can replace easily and then all you have to do is throw the switch when storing for a long period of time.

You might also want to lubricate all rubber parts in the engine before storage.
