Whoo-hooo!!!!!!!!!!! (archive)

So the 30+ hours of labor did pay off. I got the Best in Class. My congratulations to Mark for an excellent done job, however I think that his lack of miles give me an advantage. Also, his interior was perfect, but the engine compartment could have used little more work. I decided to spend most of the time on the engine because it carried the most points.

Last night I swore myself that there is no way in hell that I will ever do this again, right now I am already thinking about next year. The goal is Best of Show.

I wish I could leave my trophy in the garage so all my neighbors would see it. After my 3rd consecutive day of cleaning the car well after midnight they were staring to wonder about sanity.

Here is the break down of labor (at least the best I can remember it):

Sunday - 5 hours wheels and wheel wells.
Wednesday - 4 hours engine bay
Thursday - 4 hours engine bay
Friday - 2 hours engine bay
- 4 hours interior
Saturday - 2 hours interior
- 8 hours paint
- 1 hour glass
- 1 hour floor mats
