the fogged 2.8 v1.5 airbox (archive)

fogged my 2.8 airbox this weekend. i noticed on shawn's site he mentioned removing some more of the spars so i went ahead and removed 4 of them. the airbox does seem sturdy enough to remove all but the middle spar, but i had had enough dremeling for one day.
the car feels much better above the 4500rpm range now. i noticed a difference in the passing lane in 3rd gear. my newly installed supersprint seems to be a little throatier as well. it was definitely worth the hour or so it took to accomplish.
