I've been invited to 2 events similar to the one that you've described. They are excellent fun. In the 2 that I attended, an obsticle course was set up in a parking lot. There were sections to test acceleration, handling, abs on a watered down skid pad, stability/traction control, etc... You would drive each car through the same course to compare them. I had a blast in both events. Enjoy!
