The purpose of the acid is to etch the floor so the paint will have a way to stick....but it is important to rinse thoroughly...if you leave a residue of the acid mixture, you'll have trouble with the paint....Good luck, let us know how it turns out...
BTW my computer nerd is back from vacation, so I'll try the "stuff" you sent me ;) Have a good one at HC, Tom
.... from Griot's Garage yesterday. Has anyone used it? Griot's faxed me a 5-page installation manual before I bought. Not a simple process. I ordered 4 gallons at ~$55/gallon. Light Gray. Hard to believe 1 gallon only covers 130 sq. feet with 2 coats.
I assume muriatic acid will kill all plant life it touches, yes?
Obviously this is a do it once, do it right, and don't do it again job. The plan is to get the 2 required coats down before I leave for HC so the floor has about 17 days to cure before The Car arrives.
Next steps: dedicated circuit breaker for garage accessories and 1200 watts of flourscent lighting.
