will be recorded by BMW techies on your PERMANENT record...it's kinda like an arrest-record.. no "conviction" but it puts you on the list of suspects, so to speak...if any major warranty issues arise in future..probably best to not be on list...some dealers will look for any excuse to not serve..others could care less..but it's a crap shoot..I think it also varies by service writer...anyway..good luck finding dealer who is decent...dk '97 2.8 bg(buy more tools!..DIY!)
