Oil Leak nightmare (archive)

I took my 00 Z3 for an oil change to the dealership and had a terrible experience. Got home after the oil change and did not realize till my wife took it to the grocerry shop after 4 days. She was terrified the amount of oil spill in my garage. When I took the care back in the mechanic told me that the guy who did it the last time was a rookie and he forgot to put the oil ring.. And also said that I lost almost 1/4 - 1/2 quart of oil .

So I got the oil topped up and (and this time the oil ring too) after coming home, I am still seeing quite a bit of oil drops still dropping but the guy told me that since he couldnt clean (get under all the places therfore it is going to spill a little bit but it wills top once it gets dried up) I am absolutely mad and disappointed and am wondering whether to go their and create a stink about the whole deal.

Can you give me some directions to check first that the pending oil leak is really not a problem and is just a carry over of the prevoius problem like the mechanic said or is there a serious problem?
