Than,

I also bought the PC 7424 from an online resource (dont recall which one - as I purchased it about a year ago).

I then went to Griots and bought a couple sets of their pads (yellow & red) as well as thier backing plate (6 inch hook and loop).

The Griots backing plate and pads are a great combo. I also like thier polish and wax, as well, though I have not had the chance to try anything else since I bought the griots polish and wax at the same time as the plate and pads.

The PC 7424 is also pretty easy to use. I keep the speed dial set to about half way between 3 and 4. Closer to 4 if I am using the #1 or #2 polish. I use front to back motion on the hood and trunk (and roof on cars that are applicable). On the sides (doors and quarters) I use verticle motion top to bottom. I follow up with removal of the polish or wax using the same dirextion (using a clean 100% cotton towel).
