NEW MUFFLER NOISE- MOISTURE or BAD INSTALLATION?? (archive)

My dealer just replaced the muffler of my 2.8 Z3, but the new muffler makes a strange sound above 5000 rpm (loud whistle). I complaint and the dealer says that there is no problem, the new design eliminates moisture and makes that sound??? True or false???
