Law enforcement personnel have evacuated the Amtrak station in Providence. A Northeast train from Boston's South Station has been stopped as authorities search for as many as one to five suspects in the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. It is believed the suspects fled Boston this afternoon by train.
There are up to fifty or more squad cars in the area including a bomb squad, F.B.I., U.S. Marshals, state police - and guns are drawn. Crowds are gathering at this moment.
Currently authorities have moved passengers from the train onto the platform. Police are currently searching the train and surrounding areas including an empty lot adjacent to the station that was used during the Gravity Games.
Two or three suspects have reported been detained. There are also reports that a suspect may at large. "
Melissa's father is an engineer for Amtrak and the station is a couple of miles away from me right now.
