You are correct in noting that this is what I saw. I don't know for certain about other people.

A couple of things you might do--

Put red, white and blue stripes completetly up and down your antenna. Looks less like a flag.

Make the individual stripes longer and unattached to each other. Again, looks less like a flag.

Make a flag with a blue rectangle, seven red stripes and six white stripes. (Stars not needed.) Not as simple, but, for you, it should be easy.
