...on my 2000 2.3, and do one every 5k or so myself. The best way I've heard it said yet is that if you're leasing and don't care if the car still runs when it has 90k miles on it, follow the scheduled maintainance. On the other hand, you are buying, or considering buying at the end of the lease, change the oil more often.
