I just did same thing (raiding old PC for new Athlon/Abit KG7-RAID based monsta) and I really notice the difference as you do, in program installs. The true joy of it so far has been discovering Morpheus (www.musiccity.com) for mp3s
and Nero for CD burning. woohoo!
