Today's serious street bikes are nothing to mess with. I've ridden my son's Yamaha "R1" several times, and it's in a league of its own! Only the new Suzi "Busa" will surpass it in acceleration. BTW ... My son ran his R1 at the drags Friday night. This is the FIRST time EVER he has run a bike at the drags. On his 5th pass ... 10.90 at 131.1 mph! Not too shabby for a "rookie", huh? (Road tests by the pro riders get low-10's for the "R1".)
