Ummmm... actually - not. New Vettes come with Mobil-1 from the factory - all new M's come with BMW synthetic from the factory. Nice part on the M is that BMW continues to PAY for the synthetic for three years.. (oil changes are free.. just had one this week).
Newer manufacturing processes no longer depend on metal-to-metal scraping of parts (break-in oil) to make them fit each other.
