I too have a 320i from 1980 though and now am looking to buy one in a couple of month or so.
test drove it at Peter Pan BMW in San Mateo. They had two used once going for $43k and $45k. And they could get a new one for $55k a bit too much from what i've seen. With that many BMW dealers in Bay Area i'm surprized they are doing things like these.
Re: leasing. If you feel that you would rather drive this one for 3 years and then get a new one, then leasinig would be a good idea. If you want to keep the car, then buy.

'80 320i

: I'm a big bimmer fan (used to pamper an '83 320i) and recently I've become quite enamoured of the M Coupe. I'm thinking of leasing one but I have a few questions:

: - Is there any reason not to lease?
: - Any particularly good dealers for the "enthusiast" in the bay area (San Francisco, etc.)?
: - what are guidelines regarding adding a harness bar and five-point harnesses to a leased car?

: thanks
: Will
