Although I don't live in NY I've gotten PLENTY of speeding tickets out of state. The main thing here is to call your DMV (Texas) and ask if they have reciprocity with the state of NY. In most cases, and considering the far proximity, they don't. Just pay your fine and move on - no points. Unless it's a DUI, etc....Good luck.
