Rumor has it that BMW CCA is actually checking out this weekend to see if its worth working on allowing Z3s in driving events. We need to make a good showing here. Inexperienced drivers (ones who suck like me) feel no shame, this is the place to goof up. Experienced drivers, please come and push the limits, it was fun watching the Porsche dude wiping out. (JohnB says he�s afraid he�ll go too far in their cars, I�d like to see that. Pay your $50 insurance and you can do whatever you want to their car and walk away)

I spoke to Robert Dole at Derek Daly Academy (yes, that is really his name) and they are taking a "wait and see" approach to the weekend, and to starting a program where BMW CCA members and Z3 Club members would get a discount at Derek Daly Academy YEAR ROUND.

We have half of the people already. Please call Robert Dole at 1888-GO-DEREK and sign up. They are starting to take credit card numbers which they will not charge if we don�t get the minimum. Talk to them about the charges and the classes and what you want to see. ("Wait and see" my foot!)

I am issuing a challenge to Mr. Upset Jim. Show up at the Z3 weekend April 1 and drive the Dinanized 1.9s with us. If you get the best times, I will pay your Derek Daly course fee. Put up or shut up.

As soon as we get the minimum, I will work on a hotel and transfers- after all, this is VEGAS! We gonna have a good time and party party party.

It�s top down time in Las Vegas, get your ya yas out. Meanwhile, you will be learning skills that may save lives. How bad can that be?
