If I launch at 2500rpm I can spin my tires all the way in first mostly through second and close to half way in third and chirp into 4th. What is your tire pressre, maybe they are too low. I have mine at 38/38 due to the recent rain which makes pot holes deeter then they usually are.

: Ok, it's become an obsession. Ever since Robert on the Z3 board claimed that he can smoke his M-Roadsters rear tires at will, I've had to try this.

: Yes, it's juvenile, but just once I'd like to achieve a nice smoky burn-out. Problem is, my '00 M-Coupe won't oblige. Without torturing the clutch too often (with traction off, of course) I've tried dumping the clutch, slipping the clutch at 4,500 and 6,00. Nothing. The tires squeal, then hook up.

: I've seen the magazine covers. I know it can be done.
