Direct-wiring a Valentine 1 to my M-Coupe (archive)

Just picked up my '00 M Coupe last week and love it! Sure puts my previous '99 Mustang Cobra to shame. One slight complaint I have is the placement of the power adapter. It's so damned close to the stick. This becomes an issue whenever I plug in the adapter for me Valentine 1. I keep hitting it when I go in reverse or 1st gear. So this leads me to looking for other ways to power my V1. So I was wondering if anyone has direct-wired their Valentine 1 to the Coupe's electrical system? If so, how did you go about it? Any hints as to where to start would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
