2000 M Coupe and Alarm System (archive)

I am buying a new 2000 M Coupe and I'd like to know how good and efficient the alarm is.
It is my understanding that the car does not have keyless entry by default.
I am looking at AutoLoc's website and was wondering what would the best option be for good car security. If the factory alarm is really good enough, then all I need is the remote keyless entry unit. But if not, then I'll need a full alarm system.

Can someone please advise ASAP?
