I've read many previous posts regarding the Autoloc and I've read far more horror story posts than good news about Autoloc.
The main things I've read about Autoloc that aren't very good is
1. Poor instructions or no instructions sent with alarm
2. Takes a lot of time to install. Yes, it's a plug in, but average time to install was about 3 hours according to most posts.
3. Very poor if no tech support
4. No warranty.
I decided on the factory alarm. Cutter Motors in Santa Barbara has THE cheapest price that I could find it for. Email me and I'll tell you the price.
If you get the dealer to install it, it will be covered under warranty as the rest of the vehicle.
Aftermarket alarms are cool, but my experience with every aftermarket alarm I've ever had is that something will eventually go wrong down the line. A wire tap will come loose or something.
Just my two cents.
