I was thinking of doing exactly the same. I've not looked into it yet (if they will fit), but I was thinking of the Recarro Sports seat. It's pretty expensive (1000 pounds, $1600 approx), but looks excellent and I've found Recarro seats very comfortable in the past. It's also got holes for a 4 point harness, so I'd look to get one of these fitted too.

The stock seats just don't have any lateral support when cornering - the M3 Evo seats in the coupe are far better.
