Thats funny, because I have had nothing but great luck with Clifford's products. I have a few friends who were HEAVILY into competition car stereo, and with their help learned how to install an alarm. It really doesn't take much time, and the amount of options and things you can do with a high end Clifford is staggering.

But then again, an alarm is just a deterent. If auto manufacturers would actually make the Hood Pop a locking lever then alarms would be about 500% more useful.

All a crook needs to do is, A) Pop your door open, B) reach inside pop the hood, and C) his friend snips the battery wire. Your alarm just went off for a total of 6 seconds.

Speaking of this. I am very close to finally buying my coupe, and I would love to be able to make the hook "lock" into place, requiring me to use a key to open it up. Does anybody know of a way to do this?
: Aftermarket alarms are cool, but my experience with every aftermarket alarm I've ever had is that something will eventually go wrong down the line. A wire tap will come loose or something.

: Just my two cents.
