I happened across a 98 or 99 coupe in dark metallic green/beige that was a real beauty... started leaning towards the coupe. The dealer (non-BMW) was asking $45k for it (hmmm... sounds high).
yea, that sounds way high... if you try hard
enough, you can get mcoupe at near invoice. i
spent about 2 months researching both new and used prices. ended up getting a blue '99 mcoupe at invoice last nov. very, very cool car.
: Is the sunroof a really nice feature or not. The dealer said it just pops up in the rear (non-sliding), but I read elsewhere that it could be removed entirely.
it's nice to be able to get a little bit of sun-
lite in the car. unfortunately, you can't pop it
out. man if BMW had only spent a few more $$$
on the sunroof it'd be awesome...
a few folks have peeked at the mechanics and i
guess the big deal is that too much stuff would
be exposed to elements if the top was actually
removed... this is one item i'd consider spending
some good change on if someone could actually
pull it off ( no punt intended ).
: Anyone here have some words regarding the Z versus the M? I'd love to hear your opinions. I think I'm sold on the coupe...
oh, i'm sure you'll find lots of opinions! ;)-
i bought my M for the motor, which I'm sure
swayed alot of folks. there seems to be a
consensus that the Z is better for autoX, however
other folks will tell you the M just needs new
tires ( if it's got dunlops ), shocks & struts.
which ever one you pick, you're gonna end up with
a great car and be in pretty exclusive set of
gearheads!
well, it's a sunny day here in boston and i'm about to go for a spin. ;)-
