I have a '00 M-coupe which still is low in miles and have never had a problem with any of the seal on the car, but like I said its low miles and more of a toy than a daily driver. Your wheels will be quite difficult to fix. It is my understanding, from a motorsport specialist at my local dealer, that BMW uses a lead based paint on these rims which is illegal in the US. Therefor your options are buy new wheels from Bimmer or aftermarket. You could try to sell the rashed ones as track rims as well.
The cargo net does not seem to come with the car, mine did not.
Overall though you have just aquired a hell of a car. They are incredible. I am still amazed and nowhere near my car's limits. Congrads.
