I remember someone else one time complaining about a missing cargo net. To be clear, there is a 'net' type material that comes from the top of the wall behind the driver and attaches to the roof with little pegs at the sides. There is also a plastic sheat cover which goes from the same wall to the back of the trunk and also attaches with pegs. The first is to prevent anything from flying from the back of the car to the front in the event of a sudden stop. The second is to hide anything wich might be stored in the rear. BOTH are STANDARD equipment. If you do not have one/both of them I would definitely complain to your local BMW dealer. Hope this helps. God I love those windy roads down in Austin.
