I hope your insurance premiums don't go up. As it was explained to me before, if your vehicle, whether it is moving or not, is involved in a collision with a moving object (be it vehicle or shopping cart), insurance treats it as a collision instead of comprehensive (which would be vandalism). Comprehensive claims don't incur increases in insurance premiums, but collision claims do.

Of course, it's been awhile since I've experienced a collision, so maybe things have changed. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me.

In any case, you should get money for the wheel regardless.
