Mark Sipe was not there, so only Joe Goeke was, but he is now a defector - to the Porsche Boxster Camp :(
What I did see was this:
In SS Class there was a setup Boxster S driven by a known SCCA driver that is good, but the car was not as good as we would have thought! As a matter of fact, it was not faster than the 2.5 Box Joe was driving! So it would probably save you money to get the 2.7 Box instead, and stay in the lower AS Class.
Also in SS, it sure looks like the M Coupe would be cremated if it tried its hand there. The Gen 3 RX7 TT's were just too damn good and fast, as were the ZR1 Vettes (no C5's that I saw).
In AS, well, . . . no Z3C's showed up (mine is TOO stock yet to even TRY against these guys and their "R" tires), but it came to this:
1) the new S2000 is fast and nimble, but beatable (VERY poor starts)
2) the M3's are now getting too big to go up against smaller sports cars, even if they have more HP
3) the damn Toyota MR2 Turbos are all over everybody in this class!!! Light & Quick! There were also near a million of them here
4) Joe had 2nd place so far in the Boxster 2.5, but I did not go there today and can not say the official end results.
5) I wish Mark had been here so I could see what the Z3C is capable of :(
