: On Thursday afternoon I picked up my new, '00 MCoupe, Dakar/gray/black at Bellevue BMW. I was pretty fired up! I had them put it up on the hoist for me and checked out the underside out of curiosity (and discreetly noted that they had removed the shipping blocks from the springs!). It's nice to see good engineering.
: The drive back was fun but stressful at the beginning when, with 88 miles on the car, I had to drive through the snow on a mountain pass! All went well, though. Today I drove around a bunch through Eastern Washington on some fun roads, using all of my willpower to shift below 4500 rpm and keep it below 100 mph. I now am more than 1/3 the way through break-in! I took a roll of film that I'll get developed shortly and post one or two pictures.
: This thing is a BLAST and I've already received several postive comments and a lot of stares. Kind of makes one paranoid with everyone looking at you. I am happy to now be an Official Member of the MCoupe owners club. Now pardon me while I go stare at it some more before driving it again :-)
