Do I have to ask for a specific part number? What do I specifically ask the muffler people to do to my car? Would a normal auto parts store have them? Thanks.
: If you want to spend a ton of money for looks or bragging rights, go ahead.
: BUT! If you want FUNCTIONALITY and ADJUSTABILITY, then you can't go wrong with a 4" Supertrapp!
: WHY:
: 1) 4" Supertrapp with extra 6 discs (total of 18 discs) = $135
: 2) installation (Mesa Muffler did EXCELLENT work, even flanged all the pipes including stock muffler so I could reinstall in a snap) = $100
: 3) massive weight savings!!!!!!!
: 4) adjustability!!!!! get it dyno'd with different disc & no disc setups and find the proper torque/hp curves you need for whatever situation (drag, AutoX, Road Race, etc) - can even make it open megaphone in a matter of minutes
: 5) noise - too loud, take off discs, over db measurement in AutoX event, add discs (if wide open), or remove more discs
: 6) unique look! NOT on typical rice cars (unless a fellow SCCA AutoX driver like Tom Smith : 7) most unique sound, never confused with a rice car, and will NOT sound like everyone else's ME TOO car : 8) something goes bad inside it? open it up and replace whatever : 9) one of the more preferred exhaust used by AutoX drivers : Whatever, its your choice. But the EXTRA $$$$ you save could be used for other things (like taking the GF or WIFE out for dinner to SOOTHE her about you spending YOUR money on YOUR toy and not her
