I purchased my Z3 2.8 Coupe for opposite reasons that you bought the M. More simple and streamlined styling, both inside and out. I also like the 17in wheels (optional)on the 2.8 better tha the standard M wheels.
I like the idea of only seeing one other car like mine, since its purchase, in Dec 99.
Granted, your car may be a bit faster, but mine is fast enough for me, and the styling is, in my opinion, superior.
