00 vs 01 (archive)

Regarding the 01 M coupe. I have a 00 and love it. Will the new 01 be that much better? The 100 hp is huge and assuming BMW doesnt goof it up with luxury type stuff the thing sould be a rocket. Consider the fact that the MCoupe is faster than the outgoing M3 with the same motor...the e46M3 is heavier than the previous E36, many feel the added ponies wont offset the added weight. But, the MCoupe (assuming it remains the same sans the new M motor) will be the fastest BMW ever. Am I missing something? That thing will easily smoke the e46M3 and I am sure will keep up with the z8. If my assumptions are correct, and the Mcoupe remains a harder sale for BMW (read discounts) this may be the all time best sportcar. How many of you are changing to the 01, will the body be the same, wheels etc...sorry for the rambling...I am giddy about the new MCoupe! PS If you can, go to the SC BMW plant, incredible place. You will have a whole new respect for your BMW.
