: I love my car and her name is Candy. I know that the difference in the German M coupe(320bhp) and the US model(240) is the Double Vanos Intake System. Where can I get a hold of this product? How can I hook up my car so it would be more powerful and appealing? can anybody helP?

I know everybody is fascinated by the 320hp figure of the Euro engine, and both message boards (Z3 and Coupe) are littered with post from people who want to swap engines.

What everybody forgets is that from 0-60, the US engine is actually faster (5.2 vs. 5.7) than the Euro engine. It is tuned for more low-end torque and our driving conditions (read lower speed limits). At about 100 mph and up, the Euro car will start to pull away and leave us in the dust.

If you want more power, either get a supercharger or wait for the 2001 M-engine.
