Yes, it takes me a long while as well, and I wait until about 140 beofre revving the engine up.

Also, does anyone know how high the oil can go before I should start getting worried? the last few times I drove it has been running at about 230ish degrees, and that kind of scares me.


: For some reason it takes my oil a really long time to warm up, especially at the first start of the morning. It has been in the 60s here for the last week, and I still need to drive about 6 miles or 10 minutes before my oil can get to about 180 or so. Is this normal? I know that it takes oil much longer to warm up than the coolant, but should it take this long. I watch it closely, because I don't go over 3500rpm until the temp gets to about 180F. Does anyone else have any similar experiences or info about the situation.
