If you have a decent looking car people tend to understand that you too don't want your car to get messed up. I will always try and "box" in some really nice car so that no one else can ding the guys doors. I of course care about my doors too, but with a Porsche 996 I am fairly certain that I wojnt have to worry about right side door dings!
If you park your 72 dodge dart with duct tape paint job next to a nice car then you might be looked at as an A-hole, but I would always park my shiny MX-6 in the boondocks with all the porsches, mercedes, bimmers, and vettes when I used to work in San Jose where they actually have parking lots with enough space so that people can actually park away from treacherous non-caaring people.
: many individuals have "0" respect for other peoples property. I would never touch another persons car, never in a lifetime (especially someone I didn't know)
: I was in my 99 Subaru RS, and in the Diner parking lot where 2 Viper GTS's and a 996 were parked next to each other- the lot was crowded, I could have parked right next to those cars- but I didn't, I parked on the other side of the building (I know, they drove those cars there, so they shouldn't care who parks next to them)- but I know myself how I would be, and I can guarantee it would have pissed off the Viper owner that I could have parked next to- so I didn't.
: That guy was a complete jerk for doing what he did at that McD's- I myself, probably would have said something- since the lot was almost empty.
: Unfortunately, most people don't give a Sh*t- I wish I hated cars, it would save me alot of aggravation (and $).
