...I'm gonna say this: I would rather see BMW go to General Motors than to Ford! No, I'm not a Bow-Tie fan, and I'm not a Blue Oval fan either. The fact is, if Ford does buy BMW, they're going to ruin BMW's "BMWness". Ford did it with Jaguar, but Jaguar had quality and reliablity problems, so that was okay.

However, if Ford impresses their logic onto BMW, they're going to lose BMW customers. The fact is, no one wants to buy a 323ci with a 2.5 L Ford Duratec V-6 in it!

If GM bought BMW, they would be so scared to touch it that they'd just let BMW do its thing and collect the profits.

My plea: Whatever company buys BMW, DON'T touch it. If ain't broke, don't fix it.Jonathan
