Be sure to use an anti-squeal compound on the backing. I first installed mine without using any and while they started out quiet, within 1,000 miles I had a nasty squeal that I couldn't eliminate. Maximum braking from 100 mph would stop it only for a day.

I applied BMW's plastilube to the backing and the squeal was gone.

Regarding your brake fluid question I've had excellent results from Motul 600, both in my M coupe and my truck. I've read a large number of positive comments about the Super Blue fluid, though.
