Andrea and I did a BMW CCA Car control clinic at 3com park last year. It was alot of fun and it got my wife interested in driving the car at the limits. She would have never done autocross without the car control clinic experiance. So maybe we did run into each other before.
This NASA autocross was great. I liked the track and loved the high speed slalom. By the third cone lots of drivers were hitting the apex to late and by the end of the slalom some drivers were sideways. The Z3 held the slalom nicely, but there was noticable less body roll from the ///M's.
My track rims are Bordet type "T" rims, with BFG A/V R1's. I got them from the tirerack.
I would love to have some pictures! Because of the rain I did not mount my video camara this time. You can post them and/or e-mail them to me. Maybe some of the folks here would like to see what they are missing?
My times by the way were, 56.810, 54.750, 54.690, and 54.530, in that order. No cones for me this trip. Andrea got three on her last run. I was glad to see her pushing the car hard enough to spin twice. She has not been pushing the car or herself to the limits.
It was also nice to see Paul and Donna as well as Gary and Jane at the autocross. (AKA the M&M's) They also seemed to have a good time. I know that I enjoy an autocross more when they show up. It is only a matter of time before one of them beats me. I'm just not sure if it will be Paul or Donna who does it first.
