Yep, I just checked and BMWUSA.com's spec sheet has the M Coupe at 50/50 weight distribution, unladen. Now that I think about it seating might be more toward the rear which could explain a little something..

Steve

: That comes out to 1543 lbs front and 1632 lbs rear. I thought BMW specs said the M Coupe had 50/50 weight dist. ???

: : I'm 170 lbs, here are my weights, full tank.

: : total weight, 3175 lbs. (all measurements are full tank with a 170 lb driver in place)

: : Left front 779 lbs.
: : right front 764 lbs.
: : left rear 815 lbs.
: : right rear 817 lbs.

:
: : : I was told that BMW weighs their car with all the fluids topped off (including fuel) and with a 170 pound driver in the seat. Can anyone else confirm this?

: : : Rick Kim

: : : : This is not flame bait. I love my M Coupe and can't get enough of it. I just can't figure out why it weighs (according to bmwusa.com) 3131 lbs, whereas the bigger 911 Coupe weighs 2910 lbs. Where does all that weight come from?

: : : : Or take the Z8 for that matter. 3495 lbs without hardtop??? That's outrageous!

: : : : Any insight as to why the heavy weight would be appreciated.
